With the ProAiir QuickEZ Lattice stencil you lay down a crisp grid pattern on skin in one go. Press it flat, airbrush or dab with a face paint sponge or finger sponge, lift the stencil, done. The quickest route to a convincing texture layer for bodypaint, cosplay or SFX.
What is the QuickEZ Lattice stencil?
A reusable face paint stencil made from flexible, semi-transparent 7 mil mylar (approximately 0.18 mm thick).
The designs shown in product photos are examples. The colour that lands on skin is entirely down to the face paint you choose.
Size: approx. 11.4 x 14 cm, one design per stencil. The tab has a hole so you can hang the stencil on a keyring or stencil rack.
Why pick this stencil?
- Airbrush and hand application. The stencil works with your ProAiir Hybrid, ProAiir Ink, Endura, or simply with a sponge and water-activated face paint. You choose the technique that suits the job.
- Fast results. Press, airbrush or stamp, lift the stencil, done. The lattice pattern is ideal for large areas such as the back or torso, so you build a convincing texture layer quickly during bodypaint sessions or busy events.
- Reusable. Mylar is durable and flexible. Clean it properly and store it flat and it will last you many shows.
- Follows the body's contours. The mylar is thin and pliable, so it sits flush against rounded surfaces like the upper arm, shoulder or back.
How to use the stencil
- Hold the stencil flat against the skin where you want the lattice pattern.
- Spray with an airbrush or dab with a damp face paint sponge.
- Lift the stencil straight up. Don't slide it across the skin or the edges will smear.
Tip with water-activated face paint: keep your sponge damp, not wet. Too much moisture and the paint seeps under the edges, making your lines blurry.
Cleaning and storage
Rinse the stencil with lukewarm water and mild soap after use. Pat it gently dry and leave it to lie flat until fully dry. Don't roll or fold it - mylar gets permanent creases.
Been working with ProAiir Hybrid? Rub a thin layer of mild soap into the stencil first, then rinse with lukewarm water. That loosens the alcohol-based face paint from the mylar.
For storage: hang the stencil from the tab hole, or keep it between two sheets of paper in a flat folder.
What can you use it for?
- Bodypaint: Lattice as a texture layer for reptile, monster or fantasy effects
- SFX and cosplay: Lattice for skin texture on arms, legs or back
- Theatre and film: Lattice as costume texture for scales, stone or fantasy skin
- Festivals and photoshoots: Lattice as a background pattern in a full look
- Workshops and demos: Lattice to quickly lay down a recognisable pattern
