ProAiir QuickEZ Zipper Stencil
With the QuickEZ Zipper stencil you get a crisp zip fastener motif on skin or body in seconds. One of the quickest ways to add a futuristic, mechanical detail to a cyberpunk, robot or sci-fi look. Works with an airbrush, a make-up sponge or a finger sponge.
What is the QuickEZ Zipper stencil?
A reusable face and body paint stencil made from flexible, semi-transparent 7 mil mylar (approximately 0.18 mm thick).
The designs shown in the product photos are examples; the colour that lands on the skin is entirely your choice of paint.
Size: approx. 11.4 x 14 cm, one design per stencil. The tab has a hole so you can hang the stencil on a key ring or stencil rack.
Why pick this stencil?
- Airbrush and hand application. The stencil works with ProAiir Hybrid, ProAiir Ink, Endura and equally well with a sponge and water-activated face paint. You choose the technique that fits the job.
- Fast results. Press down, airbrush or stamp, lift the stencil, done. Ideal when you have a long queue of faces or body panels to work through at an event, workshop or shoot.
- Reusable. Mylar is tough and flexible. Clean it properly and store it flat, and it will last you many shows and seasons.
- Follows the contours of the body. The thin, flexible mylar hugs the chest, arm, shoulder or neck - wherever you want to place a tech detail.
How to use the stencil
- Hold the stencil flat against the skin where you want the zip motif to appear.
- Spray with the airbrush or pat with a damp make-up sponge.
- Lift the stencil straight up. Do not slide it across the skin or the edges will smear.
Tip for water-activated paint: keep your sponge damp, not wet. Too much moisture and the paint bleeds under the edges, making your lines fuzzy.
Cleaning and storage
Rinse the stencil with lukewarm water and mild soap after use. Pat dry gently and leave it lying flat until completely dry. Do not roll or fold it - that causes permanent creases in the mylar.
Used ProAiir Hybrid? Rub a thin layer of mild soap into the stencil first, then rinse with lukewarm water. That loosens the alcohol-based paint from the mylar.
For storage: hang the stencil from the tab hole, or keep it between two sheets of paper in a flat folder.
What can you use it for?
