What is Mehron Liquid Latex?

Mehron Liquid Latex is a liquid rubber latex applied to the skin in thin layers. You stipple it on with a non-latex foam sponge, let each layer dry fully, and build up until you reach the effect you want. Pressing cotton wool or tissue into wet layers creates 3D texture. You can also mix the latex with a little flour to make a thicker paste for covering larger areas faster.

How to use Mehron Liquid Latex

Step 1: prepare. Shake well before use. Avoid applying over hair growth without first applying a thin layer of petroleum jelly to the skin.

Step 2: build up layers. Apply a first thin layer with a non-latex foam sponge or brush. Allow each layer to dry fully before adding the next.

Step 3: add texture (optional). While the latex is still wet, press cotton wool or torn tissue into it for 3D texture. Apply further layers of latex over the top for a seamless finish. Step 4: finish with make-up. Once dry, colour the latex with cream make-up, water-activated make-up or alcohol make-up to match the surrounding skin. Add blood effects with Mehron Coagulated Blood Gel or Mehron Stage Blood. Pro tip: for a paste effect that covers large areas quickly, mix the latex with a little flour until it reaches a thicker consistency. This paste achieves in one layer what would otherwise take 5 to 10 layers.

Removing

Peel the latex carefully away from the skin. Remove any remaining residue with warm water and soap.
