What is Marly Skin Skin Protection Foam?

Marly Skin is a professional skin protection foam (also known as a barrier foam or skin protection foam). You apply it to clean, dry skin before starting with face painting or special effects make-up. It absorbs into the skin and forms an invisible protective layer in the upper skin layer, while the skin retains its normal feel.

Because sometimes your skin simply needs a bit of extra protection. Marly Skin is widely used by makeup artists and special effects artists who work with highly pigmented face paint, mastix/skin adhesives and strong removers.

How to use Marly Skin Skin Protection Foam

Use it as the first step, before applying make-up or SFX products.

• Step 1: Clean the skin and make sure it is dry and free of oils.
• Step 2: Shake the bottle well.
• Step 3: Dispense an amount of foam about the size of a walnut into your hand.
• Step 4: Spread it evenly and gently massage it into the areas you want to protect.
• Step 5: Allow it to absorb for approximately 3 minutes before starting.

After this, you can continue directly with face paint, skin adhesive and special effects make-up. The protection generally lasts for several hours.

Fixing and removal

Marly Skin does not need to be fixed. You simply work over it as if it is not there.

When you want to remove everything neatly at the end, do so gently and skin-friendly. If your design consists of water-based face paint, we recommend using the Makeup Remover Wonder Towel, optionally with a small amount of Diamond FX Skin Soap or baby shampoo. Avoid using baby wipes or facial wipes; in many cases these are actually the cause of skin irritation.

If you have worked with special effects make-up products, always use the remover that matches the product you have used.
