What make-up can you seal with ProSeal?
ProSeal works across a wide range of make-up types. That includes alcohol-activated palettes like EBA's Encore range, alcohol- or water-based airbrush make-up, and water-activated cake face paint. It also works reliably over prosthetics - the film stays intact and flexes without cracking.
Choose ProSeal when your make-up needs to last for hours under demanding conditions: long days on a film set, a physically intense theatre performance or a Halloween event where sweating is unavoidable.
When do you choose ProSeal over a standard setting spray?
A regular setting spray keeps make-up in place, but it isn't waterproof. ProSeal goes further - it forms a protective layer that resists both water and friction. That makes it the right choice for SFX work, prosthetics and long shooting days.
You can also build up a gloss finish by applying multiple coats. That's useful for latex prosthetics or skin details that need a wet or moist look.
When and how to use as a fixative
Apply ProSeal over fully dry make-up using a brush or airbrush. Work in thin coats, letting each layer dry completely before adding the next. Multiple thin coats give better protection than one thick layer.
Pro tip: Want to keep a matte finish? Apply exactly one coat. Each additional coat increases the gloss. For a wet, moist skin look on a prosthetic, build up three or four coats for the effect you need.
