The EBA H2O Seal is a water-based make-up sealer by European Bodyart, designed for SFX make-up, prosthetics and body paint. The formula is silicone-free and solvent-free, protects against water and sweat for up to 48 hours, and flexes with the skin and any prosthetic surface.

Which SFX projects is H2O Seal made for?

H2O Seal is built for situations where your make-up needs to last all day or all evening. Film sets, theatre productions, Halloween events, body paint shows and prosthetics work where movement and perspiration are part of the job.

The sealer works over most make-up types: from alcohol-activated Encore palettes and Endura airbrush make-up to cream make-up like Mehron Paradise and latex or silicone prosthetics. You don't need to switch make-up brands to use it.

When do you choose H2O Seal over a regular setting spray?

Choose H2O Seal when conditions are more demanding: long continuous wear, intense heat or sweat, or make-up applied over prosthetics that need to bend and move. A standard setting spray simply won't hold the same way in those situations.

You also get control over your finish. H2O Seal dries to a light to matte finish by default. Additional layers gradually build up gloss, so you decide the result. Want it more matte? Dust over a setting powder once it's dry.

How to use H2O Seal

Spray from 30 to 40 cm away in a sweeping motion across the make-up. Start with one fine layer and let it dry fully before adding a second. Because of the high solids content, one to two light passes are usually all you need.

Pro tip: Always test H2O Seal on a small patch of skin or prosthetic before applying it over a full look. Check the nozzle first too - a clogged nozzle will spit droplets instead of a fine mist, and that's difficult to fix once it's on the make-up.

When and how to use as a fixative

Apply H2O Seal only once your make-up is fully dry. Use it with an airbrush or a fine pump spray. On prosthetics, make sure the edges are sealed as well to prevent lifting during movement.

To remove, a water-based make-up remover works best. On layered or prosthetic work, take it off step by step.
