What is Ben Nye Final Seal?

Final Seal is an alcohol-based sealer spray applied as the last step over powdered cream make-up, face paint and SFX designs. It locks your look in place and protects it against wear, perspiration and moisture.

Final Seal is available in five sizes: 30ml, 60ml, 120ml, 240ml and 500ml. The 30ml is the smallest size - handy for a compact kit bag or taking on location.

How to use the sealer

Step 1: Powder your make-up first. Apply a thin layer of neutral setting powder over cream make-up or SFX designs before spraying Final Seal. This prevents the spray from spreading grease-based colours.

Step 2: Spray from a distance. Hold the bottle 20-30 cm away and spray a light, even mist over your look. Close your eyes during spraying and hold your breath.

Step 3: Leave to dry. The spray dries quickly - wait 20-30 seconds before touching or dressing the person you have made up. In humid conditions or with a heavier coat, drying may take a little longer.

Pro tip from Linda: For extra durability, you can activate Diamond FX or other face paints directly with Ben Nye Final Seal instead of water. This creates a stronger, better-bonding paint layer that is ideal for outdoor summer shows, sporting events, theatre and long shoot days.

Removal

Remove with Ben Nye Hydra Cleanse (oil-free) or Ben Nye Quick Cleanse. Wipe away the make-up with a cotton pad, then rinse with lukewarm water and a mild cleanser. Have sensitive skin? Apply a light moisturiser after cleansing.
