How do you apply the Possessed Veins tattoo? (step-by-step)

1. Prep - Make sure your skin is clean, dry and free of oil or make-up. Have a pair of scissors, a damp sponge or cloth, and lukewarm water to hand.
2. Cut out - Cut the transfer out generously following the outer edge of the design.
3. Remove the top layer - Peel off the transparent protective film carefully to reveal the adhesive side.
4. Apply + activate - Place the tattoo adhesive-side down on your arm, neck or chest and press firmly. Dampen the paper backing completely with your wet sponge and wait about 30 seconds until the paper turns translucent.
5. Remove the paper + finish - Slide the paper gently to the side. The tattoo stays on your skin as a detailed print. Finish with a little fake blood for extra impact.

Removal

1. Remove any make-up or fake blood residue with warm water and a cloth.
2. Lift one edge and gently roll the transfer off the skin. Remove any adhesive residue with Mouldlife Life-Wipes or Ben Nye Remove-it All. Rinse the skin with water afterwards.

Common mistakes (and how to avoid them)

• Pulling the paper too early - Wait until the paper is fully translucent. Pulling too soon tears the design or leaves sections unattached. Give it the full 30 seconds.
• Not pressing firmly enough - Press the tattoo evenly across the whole surface, including the edges. Poor adhesion causes the edges to curl, which breaks the realism.
• Too much fake blood on top - Less is more. A few drops of fake blood along the veins creates the most impact. Too much covers the vein pattern itself.
