How do you apply the Carving Board Trauma FX? (step-by-step)

1. Prepare - Make sure the skin is clean, dry and free of oil or make-up. Grab a pair of scissors, a damp sponge or cloth and lukewarm water.
2. Cut out - Cut the transfer to your desired shape, following the outer edge of the design. The individual elements - cuts, symbols, text - can be cut out separately and combined creatively.
3. Remove the top layer - Carefully peel off the transparent protective film to expose the adhesive side.
4. Place + activate - Press the tattoo adhesive-side down onto the skin (chest, stomach or back) and press firmly. Dampen the paper backing fully with your wet sponge and wait about 30 seconds until the paper turns translucent.
5. Remove the backing + finish - Slide the paper away gently. The tattoo stays behind as a detailed print on your skin. Add a touch of fake blood for extra impact if you like.

Removal

1. Remove any make-up and blood residue with warm water and a cloth.
2. Lift one edge and roll the transfer gently away from the skin. Remove any remaining adhesive with Mouldlife Life-Wipes or Ben Nye Remove-it All. Rinse with water afterwards.

Common mistakes (and how to avoid them)

• Pulling the paper too early - Wait until the backing is truly translucent. Removing it too soon causes the tattoo to lift or distort.
• Not pressing firmly enough - Press the transfer down firmly across the entire surface before activating, especially at the edges. Any section you miss will lift sooner.
• Too much fake blood straight onto the tattoo - Only apply fake blood once the tattoo is completely dry. Applying it too early or using too much can blur the print. A few drops in the right place beats a heavy coat over everything.
