What is Med-Flo Blood Classic?

Med-Flo Blood is liquid fake blood that flows and spreads like real blood. It dries in minutes, making it ideal for scenes where you need a quick dry-down or a realistic dried-blood look. Perfect for drip trails, bloodied clothing and actively bleeding wounds in real-time scenes.

Classic is the orange-red standard shade of the Med-Flo range. It delivers a rich, fresh blood colour that reads realistically under standard film and theatre lighting. No pink undertone, even in contact with water.

How to apply Med-Flo Classic

Pour straight from the bottle, use a pipette or apply with a brush or make-up sponge. For drip effects, start high and let gravity do the work. For splatter trails, flick blood off a brush or dab with a wet sponge.

Combine with a thicker texture for wounds with more depth and volume, such as Slow-Flo Classic or Form Gel Classic.

Setting and removing

Med-Flo dries to the touch within minutes. Once the scene is done, gently blot with a paper towel if you want to speed things along.

From skin: lukewarm water with a little soap removes it easily. The water reactivates the dried blood so it lifts straight away.

From fabric: soak the fabric in water at around 30 degrees with washing liquid. Rinse under the tap, then machine wash on a 30-degree programme.

From surfaces: non-porous surfaces just need a wash and rinse; porous surfaces may need a cleaning product or household bleach.
