The Dark Arts Company Form Gel Blood Dried, 50ml
Thick gel fake blood with a deep red-brown tint and a form-holding texture. Stays on the skin, dries slowly and holds its shape in and around wounds. Made by The Dark Arts Company for film, theatre and SFX make-up.
What is Form Gel Blood Dried?
Form Gel Blood is a thick, workable gel that holds its shape after application. The texture is firm enough to sculpt three-dimensional blood in and around wounds, prosthetic edges and cuts. The gel dries slowly, giving you enough time to refine details during a take.
Dried has a deep red-brown colour for older wounds and dried-blood effects. The shade looks dark and matte, matching blood that has already clotted a while ago. No pink undertone, even when in contact with water.
Why choose Form Gel Dried?
- Thick, form-holding gel - keeps 3D shape in and around wounds
- Raised effect for cuts, scab formations and prosthetic edges
- Dries slowly - gives you time to refine details during takes
- Contains surfactants and stain inhibitors for easy cleaning
- Ingredients of food, cosmetic or pharmaceutical grade
- Vegan and not tested on animals
How to apply Form Gel Dried
Apply the gel with a brush or make-up sponge, or model directly with your finger for more control. For a raised effect inside a wound: build up the gel in layers and let each layer dry slightly in between. For cut edges, press the gel gently along the prosthetic edge.
Combine with a thinner blood for extra wound depth, such as Slow-Flo Dark or Contour Gel Dried along the wound edges.
Setting and removing
Form Gel Blood Dried dries slowly in the air. Gently blot with a paper towel if you want it to dry faster.
From skin: lukewarm water with a little soap removes the blood easily. The water dissolves the dried blood so it washes away straight away.
From fabric: soak the fabric for a while in water of around 30 degrees with detergent. Rinse under the tap and wash in the washing machine on a 30-degree programme.
From surfaces: non-porous surfaces just need washing and rinsing; porous surfaces may need a cleaning agent or household bleach.
What can you use it for?
- Form-holding blood in and around wounds for SFX make-up
- Raised wound effects for film, theatre and short films
- Dried and old blood effects for horror and zombie looks
- Horror and zombie make-up for Halloween
- SFX training sessions and make-up demonstrations
