Form Gel Blood Dark is a thick, sculpting blood gel with a deep crimson tint and a slow drying time. The gel stays in place on skin and holds its shape, even in and around wounds. Made by The Dark Arts Company for film, theatre and SFX make-up.

What is Form Gel Blood Dark?

Form Gel Blood is a thick, mouldable gel. Unlike liquid fake blood, this gel does not run or spread on its own. You can use it to apply blood in three dimensions, build up wound edges or add detail to prosthetics. It dries slowly and leaves a glossy blood residue.

The Dark shade is a deep crimson red for extra wound depth and darker blood effects. Use this colour for older, heavier wounds or wherever you need stronger contrast. No pink undertone, even in contact with water.

How to apply Form Gel Blood Dark

Scoop the gel from the pot with a brush or a make-up sponge. For raised blood forms, build up the gel layer by layer and feather out the edges. For drip effects, warm the gel slightly in your hands and let it flow slowly from the wound edge.

Pair with a thinner-flowing texture for extra depth. Try Slow-Flo Dark for a coagulating pool around the wound base or Contour Gel Dark for sharp wound contouring.

Setting and removing

Form Gel Blood Dark dries slowly in open air. Blot gently with a paper towel if you want to speed up the drying process.

From skin: lukewarm water with a little soap removes the blood easily. The water dissolves the dried gel so it comes away straight away.

From fabric: soak the fabric for a while in water at around 30 degrees with laundry detergent. Rinse under the tap, then wash in the washing machine on a 30-degree programme.

From surfaces: non-porous surfaces just need washing and rinsing; porous surfaces may need a cleaning product or household bleach.
