What is Spray & Stay Blood Dried?

Spray & Stay Blood is a drying fake blood you apply through a spray nozzle. It starts liquid, spreads broadly, then dries to a firm, rub-resistant layer. Perfect for situations where you need blood to stay exactly where you put it between takes and scenes.

Dried is the deep reddish-brown shade for dried and old blood effects. Use it for older wounds where fresh red would look too vivid. No pink undertone, even when in contact with water.

How to apply Spray & Stay Dried

Spray directly onto skin, fabric or prop surface. For more precise application, use a brush or make-up sponge: spray a little blood onto your tool and work it in exactly where you need it. Leave to dry fully before placing the actor in position.

Setting and removing

Spray & Stay dries at room temperature after application. Wait until it is fully dry before the take starts - it will then be rub-resistant and will no longer run.

From skin: lukewarm water with a little soap removes the blood easily. The water re-dissolves the dried blood so it comes straight off.

From fabric: soak the fabric for a while in water at around 30 degrees with detergent. Then rinse under the tap and wash in the machine on a 30-degree cycle.

From surfaces: non-porous surfaces just need washing and rinsing; porous surfaces may need a cleaning product or household bleach.
