Superstar Fake Blood Bright Red, Clotting 50ml
Vivid, bright red blood that stays exactly where you put it. This thicker, clotting fake blood by Superstar gives you the look of a fresh wound, dripping bite mark or just-inflicted injury.
What is Superstar Fake Blood Bright Red?
A thick, water-soluble fake blood in a bright red shade. The clotting formula holds its position and adheres to the skin. Use it to create fresh cuts, claw marks, vampire bites and drip scenes that look convincing on camera and in person.
Bright Red is the classic fresh-wound colour: vivid, wet-looking and instantly recognisable as fresh blood. For dried or older injuries, add Dark Thick Clotting around the edges.
Why choose this fake blood?
- Clotting and thick - stays in place without dripping unintentionally.
- Bright red colour for fresh, wet-looking wounds and just-inflicted injuries.
- Mixable - combine with Dark Thick Clotting or Clear Thick for depth and realism.
- Water-based (Aqua, CI 14720) - washes off skin with water and soap.
- Dropper cap on the bottle - drip or dose directly onto brush or sponge.
- 50ml - enough for several looks or longer shoots.
How to apply
Shake the bottle well before use. Apply the blood with a clean brush or a makeup sponge, or squeeze it directly from the bottle onto the desired area. For a smear effect, dab with a stipple sponge. For fine scratches and spatters, use a fine stipple sponge or toothbrush.
Allow the blood to clot in place before working over it - that way it won't sink in or shift. Combine with Dark Thick Clotting or Clear Thick for extra depth around a wound. Not for use in the mouth or near the eyes. CI 14720 is EU-approved for use on skin, but not on mucous membranes such as lips, the mouth cavity or the eye contour.
Removing and washing
Remove from skin in three steps: first rinse off the top layer with lukewarm water, then use a remover towel to lift any residue, and finish with skin soap.
Got a stain on your costume? Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water first, then wash at 30 degrees in the machine or by hand. For white fabrics or delicate textiles, test on a small hidden area first. This blood does not come out equally well from all types of fabric.
What to use it for
- Fresh wounds, cuts and claw marks for Halloween looks and SFX.
- Vampire bites and mouth corners (around, not inside).
- Dripping blood from ears, nose and eye corners for horror make-up.
- Theatre, film and cosplay where blood needs to stay visible under lighting.
- Halloween parties, themed events and costume events.
