Superstar Fake Blood Clear Thin, 250ml
Thin, clear fake blood for drips, spatters and soaking through fabric. This thin fake blood from Superstar runs and spatters just like the real thing - ideal for dripping wounds, blood-soaked bandages and crime scene effects.
What is Superstar Fake Blood Clear Thin?
A thin, water-soluble fake blood that runs and spatters freely. No thickening or clotting action - the blood stays fluid and soaks through fabric in seconds. Use it for dripping blood effects, blood-soaked props and spatter patterns on clothing or costume pieces.
Clear Thin is colourless - mix your own shade using Bright Red Clotting Blood or Dark Thick Clotting Blood, or use it as a soaking effect beneath a wound. Because it stays fluid, it won't set into a fixed shape.
Why choose this fake blood?
- Thin and fluid - runs and spatters just like real blood, soaks through fabric in seconds.
- Colourless and clear - mix with other blood shades for your own colour and intensity, or use as a soaking effect on its own.
- Mixable - combine with Bright Red Clotting Blood or Dark Thick Clotting Blood for depth and realism.
- Water-based - washes off skin with water and soap.
- Squeeze bottle with dosing cap - drip directly or dose onto a brush or fabric.
- 250ml - for production work, long-running projects and bulk applications.
How to apply
Shake the bottle well before use. Drip directly from the bottle, or apply with a brush. For spatter effects, flick it from a sponge or brush; for soaking through fabric, drip onto the material and let gravity do the work.
Want a clotted blood look? Combine Clear Thin with a thicker variant such as Bright Red Clotting Blood or Dark Thick Clotting Blood. Not for use in the mouth or near the eyes. This blood contains no pigments, but is not intended for use on mucous membranes.
Removing and washing
Remove from skin in three steps: first rinse the top layer off with lukewarm water, then use a remover towel to lift the residue, and finish with skin soap.
Got a stain on your costume? Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water first, then wash at 30 degrees in the machine or by hand. Test on a small hidden area first if you're working with white or delicate fabrics. This blood does not come out equally well from all types of fabric.
What to use it for
- Dripping blood from ears, nose, eye corners and the corners of the mouth (around, not inside).
- Soaking through fabric - drip onto bandages, cloth or clothing for a blood-seeping-through effect.
- Spatters on clothing, face and props for crime scenes and horror tableaux.
- Pumped blood effects from prosthetics, blood bags and pumps - the thin consistency makes this ideal for mechanical FX rigs.
