What is Superstar Fake Blood Clear Thin?

A thin, water-soluble fake blood that runs and splatters. No clotting action - this blood stays fluid and soaks through fabric in seconds. Use it to create dripping wounds, blood-soaked bandages and splatter on clothing or props that look convincing both on camera and in person.

Clear Thin is colourless - you mix in your own colour using Bright Red Clotting or Dark Thick Clotting, or use it as a soaking effect beneath a wound. No clotting, so it stays beautifully fluid.

How to apply

Give the bottle a good shake before use. Drip the blood directly from the bottle, or apply it with a brush. For splatter effects, flick it off a brush; for soaking through fabric, drip it onto the material and let gravity do the work.

Want to combine this thin blood with a clotted look? Apply Bright Red Clotting or Dark Thick Clotting as a base first, then drip Clear Thin over the top for a wet, running effect. Not for use in or around the mouth, not near the eyes.

Removing and washing

Remove from skin in three steps: first rinse off the top layer with lukewarm water, then use a remover towel to lift any remaining residue, and finish with skin soap.

Got a stain on your costume? Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water first, then wash at 30 degrees in the machine or by hand. With white fabrics or delicate materials, we recommend testing a small area first. This blood does not come out equally well from all types of fabric.

• Dripping blood from ears, nose, eye corners and mouth corners (around them, not in them).
• Soaking through fabric - drip onto bandages, cloth or clothing for a 'bleeding through' effect.
• Splatters on clothing, face and props for crime scenes and horror tableaus.
