Superstar Fake Blood Bright Red, Thickening 250ml
Fresh, bright red blood that stays exactly where you put it. This thicker, thickening fake blood from Superstar gives you the look of a fresh wound, dripping vampire bite, or just-inflicted injury.
What is Superstar Fake Blood Bright Red?
A thick, water-soluble fake blood in a vivid, bright red shade. The thickening formula holds well in place and adheres to the skin. Use it to create fresh wounds, claw marks, vampire bites, and bleeding cuts that look convincing both on camera and in real life.
Bright Red is the archetype fresh-wound colour. For dried-looking or older wounds, go for Dark Thick Thickening 250ml instead.
Why choose this fake blood?
- Thickening and thick - stays in place and won't drip away unintentionally.
- Bright red colour for fresh, 'wet' wounds and just-inflicted injuries.
- Mixable - blend with Dark Thick or Clear Thick for depth and realism.
- Water-based (Aqua, CI 14720) - washes off skin with water and soap.
- Squeeze bottle with dosing cap - drip directly or dose onto brush or sponge.
- 250ml - ideal for production work, long-running projects, and bulk applications.
How to apply
Shake the bottle well before use. Apply with a clean brush or a make-up sponge, or dose directly from the bottle onto the area you want to cover. For a smear effect, dab with a stipple sponge. For fine scratches and spatters, use a stipple sponge or toothbrush.
Let the blood set in place before working over it - that way it won't sink in further. Combine with Dark Thick or Clear Thick for extra depth around a wound. Not for use in the mouth, and keep away from the eyes. CI 14720 is EU-approved for use on skin but not on mucous membranes.
Removing and washing
Remove from skin in three steps: first rinse off the top layer with lukewarm water, then use a remover towel to lift any residue, and finish with skin soap.
Got a stain on your costume? Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water first, then wash at 30 degrees in the machine or by hand. With white fabrics or delicate textiles, we recommend testing on a small patch first. This blood does not come out equally well from all types of fabric.
What to use it for
- Fresh wounds, cuts, and claw marks for Halloween looks and SFX.
- Vampire bites and corner-of-the-mouth effects - around, not inside.
- Dripping blood from ears, nose, and outer eye area for zombie and horror make-up.
- Theatre, film, and cosplay where the blood needs to stay visible under lighting.
- Halloween parties, theme nights, and costume events.
