Superstar Nepbloed Donker Dik, Stollend 50ml
Dark, thick fake blood that stays exactly where you put it. This clotting fake blood from Superstar gives you the look of old wounds, dried blood edges or aged gore for zombie and horror make-up.
What is Superstar Fake Blood Dark Thick?
A thick, water-soluble fake blood in a dark red shade. The clotting formula stays in place and grips the skin. Use it to create old wounds, crust edges, dried-looking blood and zombie effects that look convincing on camera and in person.
Dark Thick gives the look of dried or older blood. Combine it with Bright Red Clotting 50ml for the fresh, wet centre of a wound - dark blood at the edges, bright red in the middle.
Why choose this fake blood?
- Clotting and thick - stays in place and doesn't drip away unintentionally.
- Dark red shade for old wounds, crust edges and dried-looking blood.
- Mixable - blend with Bright Red Clotting or Clear Thick for extra depth and realism.
- Water-based (Aqua, CI 14720) - washes off skin with water and soap.
- Dosing cap on the bottle - drip or dose directly onto a brush or sponge.
- 50ml - enough for several looks or longer shoots.
How to apply
Shake the bottle well before use. Apply with a clean brush or a make-up sponge, or dose directly from the bottle onto the area you want to cover. For a smear effect, dab with a stipple sponge. For fine spatters, use a stipple sponge or an old toothbrush.
Let the blood clot in place before working over it - this keeps it from sinking in further. Combine with Bright Red Clotting or Clear Thick for extra depth and dimension around a wound. Not for use in the mouth or near the eyes. CI 14720 is EU-approved for use on the skin but not on mucous membranes such as lips, the inside of the mouth or the eye contour.
Removing and washing
Remove from skin in three steps: first rinse off the top layer with lukewarm water, then use a remover towel to lift any residue, and finish with skin cleanser.
Got a stain on your costume? Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water first, then wash at 30 degrees in the machine or by hand. For white fabrics or delicate textiles, test on a small area first. This blood does not come out equally well from all types of fabric.
What to use it for
- Old wounds, crust edges and dried-looking blood for zombie and horror looks.
- Vampire bite details and wound edges - dark at the border, bright in the centre.
- Dripping blood from ears, nose or around the eyes (around, not in).
- Theatre, film and cosplay where realistic aged blood needs to stay visible under lights.
- Halloween events, themed parties and costume nights.
