Mehron Mark Reid Brush F1 Fan
The Mehron Mark Reid Brush F1 Fan is a professional fan-shaped brush from the Mark Reid Pro line, designed by international body painter Mark Reid for texture effects, gradients and stripe work in face and body painting with face paint. The synthetic two-tone nylon brush hairs are spread in a fan shape, ideal for soft parallel strokes imitating hair, grass, feathers or fur texture. The wooden handle has a urethane coating for easy cleaning, with an angled end you can use to sweep away stray hairs or edges without damaging your design. Suitable for pro face painters, theatre make-up artists and SFX artists working with face paint.
How do you use this brush?
Activate your face paint with a little water and lightly load the fan. Sweep horizontally or vertically for soft parallel strokes that imitate hair, grass, feathers or fur texture.
For gradient effects, press two colours side by side onto the fan and sweep across the skin in one movement for a smooth colour transition. Works well for sunset skies, sea water or supernatural glow effects. The angled end of the handle can be used to sweep away stray hairs or gently correct small mistakes.
Care and cleaning
Rinse the brush immediately after use under lukewarm water until all pigment has gone. Wash with a mild soap or brush cleaner and gently squeeze out without pulling the bristle bundle apart. Leave to dry hanging with the hairs pointing downwards. The urethane coating on the handle keeps the wood resistant to water and cleaning agents without splintering.
