Mehron Mark Reid Brush #4 Round
The Mehron Mark Reid Brush #4 Round is a professional round detail brush from the Mark Reid Pro range for mid-size detail work in face and body painting. Designed by international body painter Mark Reid, the synthetic two-tone nylon brush hairs form a fine round point with more pigment capacity than the #2 Round, making it ideal for medium details, edges and accents. The wooden handle has a urethane coating for easy cleaning, and the angled end lets you push away stray hairs or correct edges without damaging your design. Suitable for pro face painters, theatre make-up artists and SFX artists working with face paint.
How do you use this brush?
Activate your face paint with a little water and load the brush to a creamy consistency. The slightly larger size lets you work smoothly through medium areas such as flower petals, line accents on the cheek or wing shapes.
Hold the brush like a pen for controlled detail work, or further back along the handle for longer strokes. The #4 Round is the in-between size you reach for when the #2 feels too small and the #6 too large. The angled end of the handle can be used to push away stray hairs or gently correct small mistakes.
Care and cleaning
Rinse the brush immediately after use under lukewarm water until all pigment has gone. Wash with a mild soap or brush cleaner and gently squeeze out without pulling the hair bundle apart. Leave to dry hanging with the hairs pointing downwards. The urethane coating on the handle keeps the wood resistant to water and cleaning products without splintering.
