The Mehron Mark Reid Body Filbert is a professional large Filbert brush with a wide oval tip from the Mark Reid Pro line, designed for body blending and covering large body areas. Created by international body painter Mark Reid for face and body painting with water-activated face paint. The synthetic two-tone nylon brush hairs form a wide flat oval tip with rounded ends, ideal for quickly filling in and softly blending large areas such as arms, legs, shoulders and torso. The wooden handle has a urethane coating for easy cleaning, and an angled end you can use to push aside loose hairs or edges without damaging your design. Suitable for pro face painters, theatre make-up artists and SFX artists working with water-activated face paint.
How do you use the Body Filbert?
Activate your face paint with a little water and load the brush generously to a creamy consistency. The large size lets you cover big areas like arms, shoulders, chest or legs quickly and evenly.
The Filbert shape gives you soft edges where you don't want a hard line on the skin. Use long sweeping strokes for an even base layer and blend colour transitions in a single pass. The angled end of the handle can be used to push aside loose hairs or gently correct small mistakes.
Care and cleaning
Rinse the brush immediately after use under lukewarm water until all pigment is gone. Wash with a mild soap or brush cleaner and gently squeeze out without pulling the hair bundle apart. Leave to dry hanging with the hairs pointing downward. The urethane coating on the handle keeps the wood resistant to water and cleaning products without splintering.
