Woochie Latex Bite Me
The Woochie Latex Bite Me is a ready-to-use wound application from Woochie for a realistic bite wound with tooth imprint. Apply it, paint it, add blood and your horror, Halloween or SFX look is complete.
What is the Bite Me?
A latex prosthetic in the shape of a bite wound with visible tooth marks and torn skin texture. The thin, finished edges blend into your skin so the transition is barely visible. Remove the prosthetic carefully after use, clean it and store it dry - and you can use it multiple times.
Why does this prosthetic work so well?
No kneading, no waiting for drying time, no liquid latex to build up layer by layer. The bite shape is already there. Your work is in blending the edges, painting it and adding the blood. That's where you make the difference.
How do you apply the Bite Me?
Hold the prosthetic dry against the desired spot to find the right position. Do this before applying any adhesive.
Apply a thin layer of skin adhesive to both the back of the prosthetic and your skin. Pros-Aide is the standard for long-lasting hold; for a quick application you can also use spirit gum. Let the adhesive become tacky before pressing the prosthetic onto your skin.
Press the prosthetic firmly from the centre outwards to the edges. Then blend the edges with liquid latex or Pros-Aide Cream. Multiple thin layers give the smoothest transition. Powder the edges thoroughly with setting powder before you start painting the prosthetic.
Painting and blood
Colour the prosthetic with water-activated, grease or alcohol-activated face paint (such as Encore palettes). Work in thin layers. Start with red-purple in the depth of the bite wound, then a bruised blue edge, then drying blood along the sides. For the blood effect: fake blood inside the wound and a drying layer on the surrounding skin.
Setting and removal
Set your colour work with setting powder so nothing smears. To remove, work a Pros-Aide remover such as Mouldlife Life Wipes, Ben Nye Remove it All or Pro-clean cleansing Oil under the edges, lift the prosthetic carefully and rinse the skin with lukewarm water.
What can you use it for?
- Halloween bite wound look on the face, neck or arm
- SFX shoots and film productions with a horror or zombie theme
- Horror events and professional haunted houses
- Cosplay as a zombie, vampire or other bite character
- Practice work for make-up artists and SFX students
