What is Spray & Stay Blood Bright?

Spray & Stay Blood is a drying fake blood in spray format. You spray it on, the blood spreads across the surface and then dries to a fixed, rub-proof layer. Drip trails stay exactly where you placed them, even between takes. That makes it useful for shots where blood continuity across multiple set-ups matters.

Bright is the most vivid colour in the Spray & Stay range: an intense vermillion red with no pink undertone. Ideal for lo-light scenes or lung-blood effects where the colour needs to stay bold and readable on camera. No pink undertone, even in contact with water.

How to apply Spray & Stay Bright

Hold the bottle 15-20 cm away and spray directly onto skin, clothing or a prop. For controlled drip trails, aim the spray from a high point and let gravity do the work. Want less misting? Pour a small amount into a dish and apply with a brush or make-up sponge instead.

For wounds with more depth, combine with a thicker product such as Contour Gel Blood Bright for wound edges or Form Gel Blood Bright for 3D blood effects.

Setting and removing

Spray & Stay dries in open air. Let the blood dry completely after application before entering the set; once dry it is rub-proof and stays in place.

From skin: lukewarm water with a little soap removes the blood easily. The water re-dissolves the dried blood so it lifts straight away.

From fabric: soak the fabric for a while in water at around 30 degrees with detergent. Rinse under the tap and wash in the machine on a 30-degree cycle.

From surfaces: non-porous surfaces just need washing and rinsing; porous surfaces may need a cleaning product or household bleach.
