What is Spray & Stay Blood Dark?

Spray & Stay Blood is a drying fake blood in spray form. You spray it on, it spreads like liquid blood, and then dries down to a firm, smudge-proof layer. Perfect for scenes where blood needs to stay in place between takes without reapplying after every shot.

The Dark shade is a deep crimson with a dark undertone. That extra depth makes it the right choice for older or more serious-looking wounds, shadow edges in wound builds, and situations where you want a less vivid, more intense blood colour. No pink undertone, even in contact with water.

How to apply Spray & Stay Dark

Spray directly from the bottle onto skin, clothing or props. For more precise application, spray into a small dish and apply with a brush or make-up sponge. Allow to dry completely for the best result - the layer only becomes smudge-proof once fully dry.

Want blood with more depth and volume in the wound itself? Combine Spray & Stay Dark with a thicker texture like Contour Gel Dark or Form Gel Dark for the wound core.

Setting and removing

Spray & Stay dries in open air. Once fully dry, it stays firm and no longer smudges. Expect a few minutes of drying time depending on how thick the layer is.

From skin: lukewarm water with a small amount of soap removes it easily. The water reactivates the dried blood so it wipes right off.

From fabric: soak the fabric in water at around 30 degrees with detergent for a while. Rinse under the tap, then wash in the machine on a 30-degree programme.

From surfaces: non-porous surfaces just need washing and rinsing; porous surfaces may need a cleaning product or household bleach.
