ProAiir QuickEZ Splat 2 Stencil
The Splat 2 design lands on a face, neck or arm in seconds, giving you an atmospheric horror effect straight away. It is the quickest route to a convincing SFX or Halloween look, whether you work with an airbrush, a make-up sponge or a finger sponge.
What is the QuickEZ Splat 2 stencil?
A reusable face paint stencil made from flexible, semi-transparent 7 mil mylar (approximately 0.18 mm thick).
The designs shown in the product photos are examples; the colour that lands on the skin is entirely your choice of paint.
Size: approx. 11.4 x 14 cm, one design per stencil. The tab has a hole so you can hang the stencil on a keyring or stencil rack.
Why pick this stencil?
- Airbrush and hand application. Works with ProAiir Hybrid, ProAiir Ink, Endura and regular face paint with a sponge. You choose the technique that suits the job.
- Fast results. Press down, airbrush or stipple, lift the stencil, done. Perfect when you have a long queue of faces at a Halloween event or horror show.
- Reusable. Mylar is tough and flexible. Clean it properly and store it flat and it will last you many Halloweens.
- Follows the contours of the body. The thin, pliable mylar sits flush against cheeks, necks and upper arms, even on curved surfaces.
How to use the stencil
- Hold the stencil flat against the skin where you want the Splat 2 motif.
- Spray with an airbrush or stipple with a damp make-up sponge.
- Lift the stencil straight up. Do not slide it across the skin or the edges will smear.
Tip for water-activated face paint: keep your sponge damp, not wet. Too much moisture and the paint seeps under the edges, making your lines blurry.
Cleaning and storage
Rinse the stencil with lukewarm water and mild soap after use. Pat it gently dry and leave it lying flat until it is completely dry. Do not roll or fold it, or the mylar will develop permanent creases.
Used ProAiir Hybrid? Rub a thin layer of mild soap into the stencil first, then rinse it off with lukewarm water. That loosens the alcohol-based paint from the mylar.
For storage: hang the stencil on the tab hole, or keep it between two sheets of paper in a flat folder.
