Woochie Latex Bullet Holes
The Woochie Latex Bullet Holes is a ready-to-use wound application from Woochie for realistic bullet entry wounds with a scorched edge. Apply the prosthetic, paint it in, add fake blood and your horror or SFX look is complete.
What is the Bullet Holes?
A latex prosthetic shaped like bullet entry wounds with a burnt, scorched rim. The thin, finished edges blend seamlessly into the skin for a convincing result. Remove the prosthetic carefully after use, clean it thoroughly and store it dry, and you can reuse it multiple times.
Why does this prosthetic work so well?
No kneading, no waiting for drying time, no liquid latex to build up layer by layer. The shape is already there. Your work lies in blending the edges, painting it in and adding the blood. That is where you make the difference.
How do you apply the Bullet Holes?
Hold the prosthetic dry against your skin first to find the right position. Do this before you apply any adhesive.
Apply a thin layer of skin adhesive to both the back of the prosthetic and your skin. Pros-Aide is the standard for long-lasting hold; for a quick application you can also use spirit gum. Let the adhesive become tacky before pressing the prosthetic onto the skin.
Press the prosthetic firmly from the centre outwards to the edges. Then blend the edges with liquid latex or Pros-Aide Cream. Multiple thin layers give the best transition. Powder the edges well with setting powder before you start painting the prosthetic.
Painting and blood
Colour the prosthetic with water-activated face paint, grease paint or alcohol-activated make-up (such as Encore palettes). Work in thin layers. Start with red-purple deep inside the bullet wound, then add a bluish scorched rim, then drying blood along the side. For the blood effect: fake blood inside the wound, and a drying layer on the surrounding skin.
Setting and removal
Set your colour work with setting powder so nothing smears. To remove the prosthetic, work a Pros-Aide remover such as Mouldlife Life Wipes, Ben Nye Remove it All or Pro-clean Cleansing Oil under the edges, lift the prosthetic gently and rinse the skin with lukewarm water afterwards.
What can you use it for?
- Halloween costume as a gunshot victim or gangster character
- SFX shoots and film productions with violence or war scenes
- Haunted house and horror events as a live actor
- Cosplay as a military or post-apocalyptic character
- Practice work for make-up artists and SFX students
