How do you use the Natural Sea Sponge?
For a smooth base with cake makeup: dampen the sponge with clean water and gently squeeze out any excess. Press the sponge onto your palette to activate the cake makeup, then apply it to the skin using dabbing or sweeping motions. When used damp, the sponge distributes cake makeup evenly without streaks.
For texture effects: use the sponge dry to create texture on the skin. The natural grain structure produces irregular patterns ideal for aged skin, creature looks, and surface detail. Two application modes in one sponge: the same sponge works for a smooth base (damp) and texture effects (dry), so you do not need separate applicators for either technique.
Care and cleaning
Clean the sponge immediately after use with cool or lukewarm water and a mild soap. Gently squeeze out without wringing and leave to air dry. Thanks to the natural fibre structure, the sponge returns to its original shape after every wash.
