Wiser's Airbrush TattooPro Stencil - Aztec & Maya

The Wiser's Airbrush TattooPro Stencil - Aztec & Maya is a 20 x 25 cm Mylar stencil created by bodypainter and graffiti artist Wiser Oner. The sheet features four iconic pre-Columbian motifs: an Aztec calendar stone, a feathered Quetzalcoatl serpent ring, a Mayan priest profile with feather crown, and a Mayan pyramid with crescent moon. Each element presses out individually so you can combine them freely for a unique result.

Thanks to the positive and negative parts, you can mix this design endlessly with other TattooPro Stencils. A different original airbrush tattoo every time.

TattooPro is a professional airbrush stencil range developed for body artists. The Mylar material is solvent-proof and with proper care lasts hundreds of uses, so a stencil quickly pays for itself.

How to use the TattooPro Stencil

Start by cleaning the skin with isopropyl alcohol (99%). A grease-free surface gives the ink better adhesion.

Place the stencil on the skin and hold it firmly. Spray the base shape first using the negative part, then replace the positive part to add the fine details of the calendar stone, the serpent, or the feather crown. Build up in thin layers and take your time.

Want a longer-lasting result? Set the tattoo with setting powder and gently press the powder on with a powder brush or soft sponge.

Working with children? TattooPro stencils are designed for cosmetic airbrush inks suitable for the skin. Always check the ink label for the minimum age recommendation.

Extra tips for a professional result

  • Avoid smudges and keep your hands clean. Wear nitrile gloves so the hand holding the stencil stays free of ink.
  • Add texture and depth. Use Airbrush Stipple Tips to spray targeted spatter - ideal for bringing out the relief detail in the calendar stone or the scales of the Quetzalcoatl serpent.
  • Work from large to fine. An Airbrush Compressor with pressure control lets you dial in the right airflow for both broad areas and the fine linework of the motifs.

The best inks for a realistic Aztec & Maya tattoo

Three ink types work with this stencil. Which one you choose depends on the body area, the occasion, and how long it needs to last:

  • ProAiir Hybrid stays vibrant and waterproof for 1 day. Cosmetic alcohol base, gentle on the face and easy to remove with liquid soap. First choice for festivals, events, and children's parties.
  • ProAiir Ink looks great on the body for 3 to 7 days. Developed specifically for temporary tattoos on the body, not for the face. Ideal when the tattoo needs to last several days, such as on holiday or a multi-day festival.
  • EBA Endura holds for up to 7 days, water-, sweat- and transfer-proof. Dries instantly, no cracking, and works on prosthetics too. The pro choice for theatre, film and SFX work.

When to use this Aztec & Maya stencil

Pre-Columbian motifs work all year round. A few occasions where this Aztec & Maya airbrush tattoo stencil more than pays for itself:

  • Mexican and pre-Columbian themed parties: the calendar stone and Quetzalcoatl serpent complement an Aztec warrior or Mayan priest costume perfectly.
  • Festivals and events (Day of the Dead, cultural events): pair the Mayan pyramid or priest with Day of the Dead make-up for a striking fusion look.
  • Themed parties and cosplay (Aztec warrior, Mayan priest, ancient civilisation): each motif works on its own, so you can quickly set a tattoo that matches any costume.
  • Theatre and film (history, adventure): the detailed motifs are sharp enough for camera close-ups.
  • Body painting competitions: mix with Day of the Dead or jaguar stencils for a full pre-Columbian composition.

Frequently asked questions

How long does an airbrush tattoo last?

It depends on the ink. ProAiir Hybrid stays vibrant and waterproof for about 1 day, ProAiir Ink lasts 3 to 7 days on the body, and EBA Endura is water- and sweat-resistant for up to 7 days. Setting with setting powder extends the result of every ink type.

How many times can you reuse this stencil?

The Mylar stencil is solvent-proof and lasts hundreds of uses with proper care. Clean it immediately after use with isopropyl alcohol if you have used ProAiir Ink or Endura, or with lukewarm water and mild soap after ProAiir Hybrid.

Does the design fit on a forearm or shoulder?

The stencil measures 20 x 25 cm. The four motifs fit comfortably on the forearm, shoulder, décolleté or upper thigh. For a larger composition, combine this sheet with other stencils from the TattooPro range.
