What is coloured hairspray red?

The Goodmark Coloured Hairspray Red is a temporary hair colour lacquer in a 125 ml aerosol can. You spray it onto dry hair, the colour sits on the hair rather than penetrating it. That makes it straightforward to wash out after the event.

How do you apply this red hairspray?

1. Cover your costume, shoulders and face with a cloth or old towel before you start
2. Shake the can thoroughly for at least 1.5 minutes to mix the pigment through the propellant
3. Hold the can upright, approximately 20 cm from your hair
4. Spray in short bursts over dry hair, building up layer by layer until you reach the desired coverage
5. Allow a few seconds to dry before moving your head
6. Want extra hold or a matte finish? Finish with your own setting hairspray if you like

Tip: spray two thin layers instead of one thick one for the most solid red coverage, even on dark hair. Test on a small section first to check the result.

Safety and warnings

• Do not use near open flames, candles or sparks: the spray is flammable
• Can is pressurised: do not pierce, break open or store near hot surfaces
• Avoid contact with the eyes; if it does get in, rinse thoroughly with water
• Do not apply to chemically treated hair (such as recently dyed or permed hair)
• Not suitable for children under 6 years of age

Washing out and removing

The hairspray washes out with regular shampoo in the shower. Work in two rounds: first lather up well and rinse thoroughly to lift most of the pigment, then wash again for a clean, residue-free result. On very light hair a faint red tinge may remain after one wash; a second wash with a nourishing shampoo will take care of that.
