What is coloured hairspray glittergold?

The Goodmark Coloured Hairspray Glittergold is a temporary hair lacquer in a 125 ml aerosol. You spray the glitter onto dry hair, not into it: the glitter layer sits on the hair shaft and gives a gold-sparkling effect. Works on all hair colours, though lighter hair gives a fuller gold-glitter result than dark hair.

How do you apply this glittergold hairspray?

1. Cover your costume, shoulders and face with a cloth or old towel before you start
2. Shake the can for at least 1.5 minutes so the pigment mixes through the propellants
3. Hold the can upright about 20 cm from your hair
4. Spray in short bursts over dry hair, layer by layer until you reach the coverage you want
5. Leave it a few seconds to dry before you move your head
6. Want extra hold or a matte finish? Finish off with your own firm-hold hairspray

Tip: for a double effect, spray the glittergold over a coloured base layer - for example over silver or white. On light or grey hair you'll need fewer layers for full gold glitter coverage.

Safety and warnings

• Do not use near open flames, candles or sparks: the spray is highly flammable
• Can is pressurised: do not pierce, break open or store near hot surfaces
• Avoid contact with eyes; if contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water
• Do not apply to chemically treated hair (such as recently dyed or permed hair)
• Not suitable for children under 6 years of age

Washing out and removing

Wash the hairspray out with ordinary shampoo in the shower. Work in two rounds: first lather well and rinse to remove most of the glitter pigment, then wash once more for a completely clean result. On very light or grey hair a faint golden shimmer may remain after the first wash; a second wash with a nourishing shampoo will clear that.
