What is coloured hairspray orange?

The Goodmark Coloured Hairspray Orange is a temporary hair lacquer in a 125 ml aerosol can. You spray the colour onto dry hair: the orange sits on the hair, not inside it. It dries quickly and washes out easily. On light hair you get a full bright orange; on darker hair the effect is a warm, amber-orange glow.

How do you apply this orange hairspray?

1. Cover your costume, shoulders and face with a cloth or old towel before you start
2. Shake the can thoroughly for at least 1.5 minutes to mix the pigment with the propellants
3. Hold the can upright, about 20 cm away from your hair
4. Spray in short bursts over dry hair, building up layer by layer until you reach the coverage you want
5. Let it dry for a few seconds before moving your head
6. Want extra hold or a matte finish? Finish with your own setting hairspray

Tip: for a supporters' group look on event day, spray the orange colour evenly across the whole head. Test on a small section first to see how many layers you need.

Safety and warnings

• Do not use near open flames, candles or sparks: the spray is flammable
• Can is pressurised: do not pierce, break open or store near hot surfaces
• Avoid contact with eyes; if it happens, rinse thoroughly with water
• Do not apply to chemically treated hair (such as recently dyed or permed)
• Not suitable for children under 6 years old

Washing out and removing

Wash the hairspray out with regular shampoo in the shower. Work in two rounds: lather and rinse well first to remove most of the pigment, then wash once more for a clean result with no residue. On very light or grey hair, a faint orange tint may remain after one wash; a second wash with a conditioning shampoo will sort that.
