The Moonstruck Effects Urit Teeth are undead fake teeth in a rotted-gums variant: inflamed pink-red gums, stained teeth and rotten gum patches. Ideal for zombie cosplay, undead roles and horror theatre.
What are the Moonstruck Urit Teeth?
The Urit (Rotted Gums) is a handmade set of fake teeth by Moonstruck Effects with Inflamed Gums, Stained Teeth and Rotted Gums. No out-of-mouth design, but visibly diseased gum colour and stained teeth. A mid-range zombie set between Mormo and Mordred.
The teeth are handmade in their own workshop in Belgium from dental acrylic, the same material dentists use for dentures. The set comes with fitting beads (thermoplastic moulding material) that softens in hot water. Use this to make the teeth fit your own bite, so they stay firmly in place while you wear them.
Why choose the Urit Teeth?
Anyone building zombie cosplay without the top-tier weight of a Walker or Mordred can choose the Urit. The rotted gums give a believable sickly look on camera and in theatre.
How do you use the Urit Teeth?
Place the fitting beads in hot water until they turn fully transparent and become tacky. Then roll the material into a thin strip and press it against the back of the set, where your own teeth will sit.
Place the teeth carefully over your own teeth, checking in the mirror that the set sits straight. Press firmly with both hands so the material moulds to your own teeth. Hold until the material is firm enough to hold its shape.
Carefully remove the teeth from your mouth and let the material harden fully in cold water; once the material turns white, it has hardened. After fitting, you can reuse the teeth without repeating the process.
The Urit is not suitable for wearers of crowns, braces or a permanent retainer.
Cleaning and storage
Clean the teeth after use with lukewarm water; for deeper cleaning, Moonstruck cleaning tablets are available separately. Do not use boiling water or aggressive cleaners, as this can warp the material. Store the teeth in the supplied storage box, dry and out of direct sunlight.
