The Moonstruck Effects Gwythyr Teeth are vampire fake teeth in underworld style: long, sharp canines with a darker, rougher feel and natural pink gums. Built for anyone building the ancient-vampire-king look for cosplay, theatre and horror shoots.
What are the Moonstruck Gwythyr Teeth?
The Gwythyr Teeth are handmade fake teeth by Moonstruck Effects with Regular Pink Gums. The canines are sharp and long, with a finish that feels rougher than the classic Vladymyr, suited to underworld and old-kingdom cosplay. Moonstruck positions these as their underworld vampire set.
The teeth are handmade in their own workshop in Belgium from dental acrylic, the same material dentists use for dentures. The set comes with fitting beads (thermoplastic moulding material) that softens in hot water. Use this to make the teeth fit your own bite, so they stay firmly in place while you wear them.
Why choose the Gwythyr Teeth?
If you find the Vladymyr 'too clean' for a dark fantasy look, the Gwythyr is the answer. The canines are equally prominent, but the finish has a rugged feel that fits vampires from fantasy and LARP settings.
How do you use the Gwythyr Teeth?
Place the fitting beads in hot water until they turn fully transparent and become tacky. Then roll the material into a thin strip and press it against the back of the set, where your own teeth will sit.
Place the teeth carefully over your own teeth, checking in the mirror that the set sits straight. Press firmly with both hands so the material moulds to your own teeth. Hold until the material is firm enough to hold its shape.
Carefully remove the teeth from your mouth and let the material harden fully in cold water; once the material turns white, it has hardened. After fitting, you can reuse the teeth without repeating the process.
The Gwythyr is not suitable for wearers of crowns, braces or a permanent retainer.
Cleaning and storage
Clean the teeth after use with lukewarm water; for deeper cleaning, Moonstruck cleaning tablets are available separately. Do not use boiling water or aggressive cleaners, as this can warp the material. Store the teeth in the supplied storage box, dry and out of direct sunlight.
