How to use the Bald Cap

Apply a thin layer of Mehron Castor Sealer over the latex edge and the skin beneath it. The sealer fills the height difference between latex and skin, making the transition invisible under make-up. Allow 10 to 20 minutes to dry thoroughly. Step 5: colour the cap. Finish the entire cap with alcohol make-up like ProAiir Hybrid or a skin tone palette like the Encore Skin Cover-up Palette. Stipple the make-up on with a non-latex foam sponge or stipple brush so the skin texture blends naturally into the cap. Pro tip from Linda: after the base colour, stipple a touch of red, purple or brown onto the crown, temples and behind the ears to mimic natural skin circulation. For a rawer look (such as a chemo patient, alien or horror character) add extra shadow into the skull creases with a stipple brush. This adds dimension to an otherwise flat surface.
