The Diamond FX Splitcake Orchid (30gr) is a professional wax-based face paint in four pastel pink shades: Essential White, Essential Pink, Essential Red and Essential Bordeaux Red. The wax base lets you build up layers without the colours immediately bleeding or blending into each other. With this 30g you can paint 10 to 15 full faces.

How to use Diamond FX face paint

Activate the face paint with a little clean water. Mist the surface lightly with a spray bottle, or use a well-squeezed sponge or damp brush. Drag your brush back and forth across the cake to pick up all the shades at once - the colour transition happens naturally. Use a water container with clean water and refresh it between colours to keep your shades crisp.

Tips for a professional result

• Use the right brushes. The FBFX Face Paint Brushes are made specifically for face paint with soft synthetic bristles that don't leave fluff. For detail work and line work, reach for the FBFX Round Face Paint Brushes.
• Use the right sponge. For larger areas, work with a Yellow Face Paint Sponge. Latex foam sponges are not suitable for water-activated face paint.
• Keep your water clean. A water container with fresh water next to your workspace prevents colours from mixing or turning muddy.
• Protective layer for sensitive skin or intense colours. Apply a thin layer of Marley Skin beforehand. This barrier layer makes removal easier and prevents staining (pigment residue) with intense shades.

How to remove Diamond FX face paint

Remove the face paint with mild, non-moisturising soap and cool to lukewarm water. Hot water opens the pores and can push pigment deeper into the skin - avoid it. Gently work in the soap and rinse thoroughly. Repeat until all the face paint is gone.

Why are there sometimes small cracks in the face paint?

Large temperature changes during storage or transport can cause the wax to expand and contract, leading to surface cracks. They usually disappear once you start using the product. There is no effect on quality or shelf life.

Is Diamond FX safe for children?

What is the difference between Essential, Metallic and Neon?

Essential is matte base face paint. Metallic has a glossy shimmer finish. Neon colours glow under UV/blacklight - Neon Blue, Violet and White are semi-transparent under regular light and only come to life under UV/blacklight; the other Neon colours are opaque and vivid.

Can you apply Diamond FX over other colours?
