Purple Rain is one of those colours that works across a wide range of looks. Use it for witch make-up, unicorn and fantasy face painting, Halloween creatures, or dramatic contouring effects. The deep cool-toned purple blends well with both lighter lavenders and darker plums.
Because the formula is glycerin-based, it picks up water smoothly and spreads evenly. You get clean edges with a brush and soft blends with a sponge.

Purple Rain sits in the deeper, cooler side of the purple range. Choose it when you want a bold, saturated purple that reads clearly on stage, at Halloween events, or in photos. It holds its intensity under bright lighting.

How to use it
Activate with a lightly damp face paint brush or a damp face paint sponge moistened with a spray bottle so it does not get too wet. Rub the sponge over the paint and apply to the skin. Build thin layers for the best coverage. Use a round sponge or a butterfly sponge for an even base.
Pro tip: For a unicorn look, lay Purple Rain as a contour shade along the temples and cheekbones over a white or light lavender base. Blend outward with a damp sponge for a seamless gradient.
Setting and removing
Superstar face paint is water-activated and dries to a matte, smudge-resistant finish. To remove, use water and mild soap, or a gentle skin soap. For sensitive skin, the soft Wonder Towel with a little water works gently and effectively. Do not scrub and avoid baby wipes, as these can irritate the skin.
