The Petal Sponges are foam sponges shaped like a flower petal: ideal for stamping a butterfly wing, an eye mask or a flower petal onto a face in a single press. The pack contains 6 sponges, so during a long face paint session or event you can easily switch between colours and children.
What can you use the Petal Sponges for?
- Butterfly wings above the eye or on the cheek, in a single stamp.
- Eye masks in one movement (Catwoman, Zorro, superhero, masquerade).
- Flower petals and floral designs for kids' parties and festivals.
- Eye corner dots and design details with a sharp shape print.
- One-stroke technique: load the sponge with a splitcake and stamp a butterfly in multiple colours at once.
How to use the Petal Sponges
- Lightly dampen the sponge with a spray bottle or a few drops of water.
- Drag the sponge across your water-activated face paint or splitcake until the petal shape is well loaded.
- Stamp the sponge onto the skin like a print; tap gently for a sharp result.
- Want to reload? Place the sponge back exactly as you did the first time, to keep the colours from running into each other.
You can also use the sponge as a regular round sponge for a base layer on smaller surfaces.
Hygiene and cleaning
Use a clean sponge for every new face. Washing is easy: place the sponges in a delicates wash bag and pop them in the washing machine. Then air-dry and they are ready for the next job.
