How to use Diamond FX face paint

Activate the paint with a small amount of clean water. Mist the surface lightly with a spray bottle, or load a well-squeezed sponge or damp brush directly onto the cake. Clean water keeps colours vibrant - use a water pot and refresh it between colours.

Tips for a professional result

• Use the right brushes. The FBFX Face Paint Brushes are designed for face paint with soft synthetic fibres that leave no bristles behind. For linework and detail, reach for the FBFX Round Face Paint Brushes.
• Use the right sponge. For covering large areas use a Yellow Face Paint Sponge. Latex foam sponges are not suitable for water-activated face paint.
• Keep your water clean. A water pot with fresh water next to your station prevents colours from muddying or losing vibrancy.
• Barrier layer for sensitive skin or intense colours. Apply a thin layer of Marley Skin beforehand. This barrier makes removal easier and prevents staining (pigment residue) with intense shades like turquoise, dark green, or dark blue.

How to remove Diamond FX face paint

Remove with a mild, non-moisturising soap and cool to lukewarm water. Hot water opens the pores and lets pigment sink deeper into skin - avoid it. Work the soap in gently and rinse thoroughly. Repeat until all face paint is gone.

Large temperature changes during storage or transport can cause the wax to expand and contract, creating surface cracks. They usually disappear as soon as you start using the pot. Quality and shelf life are not affected.
