Diamond FX Essential White 30gr - wax-based face paint

The Diamond FX Essential White 30gr is a professional wax-based face paint known for its high pigmentation and strong coverage. The wax base lets you build up layers without colours bleeding into each other. With this 30g pot you can paint 10 to 15 full faces.

Diamond FX Essential is hypoallergenic, gluten-free, and free from animal ingredients, parabens, fragrance and lanolin. The Essential range is formulated with EU- and FDA-compliant cosmetic ingredients, suitable for the skin of children and adults. Browse all our other Diamond FX Essential colours.

How to use Diamond FX face paint

Activate the face paint with a small amount of clean water. Mist the surface with a spray bottle, or use a well-squeezed sponge or damp brush. Clean water keeps colours pure and bright - use a water pot and refresh the water between colours.

Tips for a professional result

  • Use the right brushes. The FBFX Face Paint Brushes are made specifically for face paint with smooth synthetic hairs that don't leave fibres behind. For detail work and fine lines, reach for the FBFX Round Face Paint Brushes.
  • Use the right sponge. For large white areas, work with a Yellow Face Paint Sponge. Latex foam sponges are not suitable for water-activated face paint.
  • Keep your water clean. A water pot with fresh water next to your workspace stops colours mixing or turning dull.
  • Barrier layer for sensitive skin or staining. Apply a thin layer of Marley Skin first. This barrier makes removal easier and prevents pigment residue when using white as a base under other colours.

How to remove Diamond FX face paint

Remove the face paint with mild, non-moisturising soap and cool to lukewarm water. Hot water opens the pores, letting pigment sink deeper into the skin - avoid this. Gently work in the soap and rinse thoroughly. Repeat until all the face paint is gone.

For a cleaner and quicker removal without scrubbing:

  • Diamond FX Skin Soap - specially developed for removing Diamond FX face paint
  • Remover Towel - a damp wipe that takes the face paint off in one go, ideal at events and children's parties where you're painting many faces in a row

What to use Diamond FX Essential White for

  • Children's face painting as a white base - birthday parties, school events and fetes where white is needed as an underlay or standalone colour
  • Halloween and themed parties - skull looks, ghosts, brides, vampires and other white face bases
  • Body painting and highlights - white as a light point or contrast in body paint projects and competitions
  • Cosplay and character makeup - face base for mimes, pierrot clowns, geishas and other white character looks
  • Theatre and SFX - clown makeup, age-white at hairlines and as a base in productions

Frequently asked questions

Why are there sometimes small cracks in the face paint?

Large temperature swings during storage or transport can cause the wax to expand and contract, leading to surface cracks. They usually disappear on their own when you start using the product. There is no effect on quality or shelf life.

Is Diamond FX safe for children?

Yes, Diamond FX Essential is hypoallergenic, fragrance-, paraben- and lanolin-free, gluten-free and contains no animal ingredients. The Essential range meets EU and FDA cosmetics guidelines. Always do a patch test 24 hours in advance for sensitive skin.

How many faces can you paint with 30g?

A 30g pot covers approximately 10 to 15 full faces, depending on layer thickness and technique.

What is the difference between Essential, Metallic and Neon?

Essential is a matte base face paint. Metallic has a glossy shimmer finish. Neon colours glow under UV/blacklight - Neon Blue, Violet and White are semi-transparent in regular light and only come alive under UV/blacklight; the other Neon colours are opaque and vivid.

Can you paint Diamond FX over other colours?

Yes, that is actually one of its strongest points. The wax base and high pigmentation mean the top colour covers without the underlying colour showing through. Product photos are taken under professional daylight lamps without colour adjustment. Colours may vary slightly depending on your screen settings.
