How to use Diamond FX face paint

Activate the face paint with a small amount of clean water. Mist the surface lightly with a spray bottle, or use a well-squeezed sponge or damp brush. Clean water keeps colours bright and true - use a water pot and refresh the water between colours.

Tips for a professional result

• Use the right brushes. The FBFX Face Paint Brushes are designed specifically for face paint with soft synthetic bristles that leave no fibres behind. For detail work and fine lines, reach for the FBFX Round Face Paint Brushes.
• Use the right sponge. For larger areas, work with a Yellow Face Paint Sponge. Latex foam sponges are not suitable for face paint.
• Keep your water clean. A water pot with fresh water beside your workstation prevents colours from muddying or going dull.
• Barrier layer for sensitive skin or intense colours. Apply a thin layer of Marley Skin beforehand. This barrier makes removal easier and prevents staining (pigment residue) with strong shades.

How to remove Diamond FX face paint

Remove the face paint with mild, non-moisturising soap and cold to lukewarm water. Hot water opens pores and lets pigment sink deeper into the skin - avoid it. Gently work the soap in and rinse thoroughly. Repeat until all the face paint is gone.

Frequently asked questions

Why are there sometimes small cracks in the face paint?

Large temperature differences during storage or transport can cause the wax to expand and contract, leading to surface cracks. They usually disappear on their own once you start using the paint. There is no effect on quality or shelf life.

Is Diamond FX safe for children?

Can you apply Diamond FX over other colours?
