What adhesives does this remover work on?
The Superstar Mastix Remover is designed specifically for mastix - the stronger prosthetic-grade skin adhesive used in theatre, SFX and Halloween work. It dissolves the bond quickly without harsh scrubbing. It also works on other solvent-based adhesives like spirit gum.
Unlike general cleansers, it is formulated to target the adhesive residue directly, so you spend less time working the skin and reduce the risk of irritation from rubbing.
When do you choose this remover over a general cleanser?
Use this remover whenever you have applied mastix for a prosthetic, latex piece or skin-attached effect. A regular face wash will not break down mastix residue reliably. This remover does - and it also works for cleaning adhesive off your brushes and tools after a session.
Choose this 50 ml bottle if you work regularly with mastix or run multiple applications per event. For occasional single-use, the smaller 9 ml Mastix bottle may be enough.
How to use it
- Apply a small amount of remover to a cotton pad or cotton swab.
- Press gently onto the area where the mastix needs to be removed.
- Allow the remover to soak in for a moment so the adhesive dissolves.
- Wipe away carefully - no hard rubbing needed.
Compatible products
This remover is designed for mastix and similar solvent-based adhesives. It is not intended for water-based face paint removal - use a dedicated face paint remover or gentle soap for that.
After removing the adhesive, wash the area with a mild cleanser. Avoid contact with eyes.
