Mouldlife Sculpt Gel Flesh Tone 300g | Skin-Tone Silicone SFX Paste
Sculpt Gel Flesh Tone is a platinum silicone SFX paste by Mouldlife for professional special effects work. You apply it directly to the skin to create realistic, three-dimensional effects such as wounds, burns and distortions. The gel is easy to spread, simple to sculpt and cures quickly.
- Platinum silicone SFX paste, skin-tone pre-tinted
- Flexible and moves with the skin once cured
- 300g pro working size, 3-component system (A+B+C)
- Suitable for film, theatre, Halloween and scare attractions
What SFX effects can you create with Sculpt Gel Flesh Tone?
Sculpt Gel Flesh Tone is designed for realistic on-skin prosthetic effects. Use it to build up wounds, burn scars, lacerations, skin distortions and creature textures directly on the performer. The flesh tone base means less colour correction needed once the gel has cured.
It works equally well for one-off Halloween effects and for multi-day film or theatre productions where repeated application is needed.
When do you choose the 300g size over the 150g?
The 300g kit is the professional working size. If you are running a scare attraction, working on a film set or schminken multiple performers in one session, this size gives you enough material without constantly re-ordering.
For single projects or testing the product for the first time, the Mouldlife Sculpt Gel Flesh Tone 150g is the better starting point.
How to use Sculpt Gel
- Mix equal parts of component A and B
- Add component C if you need extra flexibility on moving areas such as the neck or jaw
- Apply with a spatula directly to the skin
- Sculpt the desired effect, for example scars, burns or open wounds
- Stipple with a stipple sponge to add skin texture
- Allow to cure, then colour with grease paint or alcohol-activated make-up
- Remove carefully by peeling away from the skin
Pro tip: Mix only small amounts at a time as the gel cures quickly. Use a separate spatula for each component pot to prevent cross-contamination, and label your lids A, B and C before you start.
Safety and removal
Always do a patch test before applying Sculpt Gel to a large area. Remove carefully by peeling the cured gel away from the skin. Avoid pulling too fast on delicate areas such as the eye region.
Powder the cured surface lightly before colouring for a smoother and more even result. Clean your tools immediately after use with 99.9% isopropyl alcohol.
What can you use it for?
- Wound and scar SFX for film and television
- Burn and blister effects for theatre productions
- Creature and monster skin textures
- Halloween and scare attraction prosthetics
- Training and practice pieces for SFX students
