How to Use Waterproof Face Paint?
Waterproof face paint is applied in the same way as regular face paint, once it is activated. You can apply it with a brush, sponge, or airbrush.
For airbrush paint, no activation is needed as it is already liquid and ready for use. For waterproof face paint, you activate it with a Fuel activator (like for the Encore Palette) or with 99.9% Alcohol.
Be cautious when using it around the eyes. Although it is safe to use near the eyes, the alcohol vapors can sting, especially for children. Stick to designs on the cheeks or forehead and avoid the eyelids.
This does not apply when airbrushing with ProAiir Hybrid colors, as they are safe to use around the eyes with the airbrush. However, always ensure that your model keeps their eyes closed during airbrushing to avoid makeup getting into the eyes.
How Long Does Waterproof Face Paint Last?
Waterproof face paint is designed to last. Depending on the brand and conditions, it can last anywhere from several hours to several days. ProAiir Hybrid products stay beautiful on the skin for one day and are waterproof. However, after one day (and a night of sleep), they may not look as fresh as they did on the first day. ProAiir Ink is made to last longer, depending on skin type and placement, it can last up to a week. The same applies to Endura colors and Encore makeup.
How to Remove Waterproof Face Paint?
Removing ProAiir Hybrid products is easy. Rub liquid soap over the paint without adding water until the surface starts to break down. Then add water, and the makeup will quickly wash away.
ProAiir Ink, Endura Ink, and Encore Makeup are designed to last longer. You can remove them with special removers such as Enveil, Vapore, Mouldlife Pro-Clean, or Life Wipes. If you don’t have these on hand, you can try using waterproof makeup removers or a heavy cream.
