What is Mehron Tooth FX?

Mehron Tooth FX is a fast-drying liquid tooth lacquer developed specifically for temporary character make-up on natural teeth. The Gold variant gives teeth a metallic golden shine, perfect for character looks where one or more teeth need to stand out as gold. Tooth FX is available in six colours to cover every tooth effect: Gold (this variant), Black, Blood Red, Nicotine, Spinach Green and White.

The formula is non-toxic and does not damage enamel when used correctly. Tooth FX is intended for natural teeth only - not for dentures, crowns, brackets or porous tooth surfaces. On porous surfaces the lacquer seeps in and becomes difficult to remove.

How to use Tooth FX Gold

Step 1: prepare your teeth. Thoroughly dry your teeth with a tissue. Tooth FX only adheres to dry teeth, so remove all saliva before you start. Avoid eating or drinking in the 5 minutes before applying.

Step 2: shake the bottle. Shake the bottle well before use so the pigments are evenly distributed.

Step 3: apply with the brush. Dip the applicator brush into the bottle and apply Tooth FX Gold to whichever tooth you want to turn gold. Keep your lips away from the tooth while applying and hold your mouth open until the lacquer is dry. Step 4: let it dry. Let the lacquer dry for a few seconds before closing your mouth. For a fuller metallic gold colour you can apply a second thin coat once the first has dried. Pro tip: you can apply Tooth FX onto a mixing palette, thin it slightly with a drop of alcohol and apply it with a separate brush. This is more hygienic when working on multiple performers, and gives you more controlled application.

Important before use

• Natural teeth only: do not use on dentures, crowns, brackets, braces or porous tooth surfaces. On porous surfaces the lacquer seeps in and becomes difficult to remove.
• Do not swallow: although non-toxic, this product is not intended for consumption.
• Avoid eating with Tooth FX on: the lacquer withstands talking and light sips of water, but not chewing or hot drinks.
• Test on one tooth first before treating the full set of teeth, to check adhesion and removal.

Removing Tooth FX Gold

Removal is straightforward - just brush your teeth with a toothbrush and toothpaste. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with water afterwards.
