What is Mehron Colorset Powder Bold?

Colorset Powder Bold is a coloured powder from the Mehron Colorset line. The Translucent Colorset Powder sets cream makeup invisibly; the Bold version does the same, but adds pigment at the same time. You press the powder onto a fresh cream layer, which makes the colour look deeper and more even. It also absorbs excess moisture, so your look is less likely to run or smudge under warm lights and during long events.

Because the powder absorbs excess oil and moisture, your makeup stays crisp for longer, feels less tacky and holds up better against heat and perspiration.

The formula is talc-free with strong mattifying ingredients and cosmetic colour pigments. The finish stays nicely matte without feeling dry or heavy on the skin.

How do you use Mehron Colorset Powder Bold Black?

1. Use a powder puff or Kabuki brush to apply plenty of powder over your black cream makeup layer.
2. Press the powder into the makeup (do not rub) to absorb excess oil and tackiness.
3. Gently dust off any excess powder with a soft powder brush.
4. Any black haze left on the surrounding skin? Spray it away carefully with a few spritzes of Mehron Barrier Spray or a spray bottle filled with water.

Pro tip: black is a colour that can look greyish or dull on the skin. A layer of Colorset Powder Black over a black cream base makes the colour far deeper, more even and intensely matte. Ideal for shadows, skeletons and soot looks.

Setting and removing

Once pressed in, the look stays nicely in place. Want extra hold on warm days, during long performances or an action shoot? Finish with a setting spray such as Mehron Barrier Spray.

• Cleanse the skin with lukewarm water and a mild skin soap, and pat dry with a soft cloth.
• For gentle, comfortable removal, use a remover towel; it lifts cream and powder residue in one wipe.
• Wash any textiles that have picked up makeup at 30 degrees with a normal detergent. Black pigment can be more stubborn, so treat any stains as quickly as possible.
