What is Ben Nye Eyebrow Pencil?

It is a wooden cosmetic pencil that you sharpen with a standard cosmetic pencil sharpener. The formula combines a firm tip with soft application: you draw fine hair-like strokes, then blend them out with a finger or brush. In our shop you will find seven shades, from White to Black.

How to use the pencil

Sharpen with a standard cosmetic pencil sharpener. Hold it at a slight angle for broader brow strokes, or more upright for fine hair-like lines. Start at the inner corner and work outwards. Blend the strokes lightly with a finger or brow brush for a convincing, filled-in finish.

Medium Brown also works as a sketching pencil. Draw your design on the face before you start applying colour. That is useful for symmetrical looks or detailed motifs. Then fill in the design using crème stick colours.

Setting and removal

Setting is not normally required. For extra hold during a long shoot or performance, mist a thin layer of Ben Nye Final Seal over the line.

Remove in two steps. Start with a Ben Nye Quick Cleanse or a Mehron Blank Canvas Remover to break down the wax base. Then rinse with lukewarm water and a mild facial soap.
