Venial Blood is the dark red variant in the Mouldlife blood range. It mimics venous blood - thicker and darker than arterial blood - making it the right choice for deep cuts, serious tissue wounds and any scene where the blood needs to look substantial.

How to use Venial Blood

Shake the bottle well before use. Apply with a brush, sponge, cotton swab or directly from the bottle for drips and runs. Build the effect in layers - start with a thin coat and add thicker blood where you need more depth. For venous bleeding effects, let the blood run slowly from a deeper point and combine with Arterial Blood for a fresh-versus-old contrast.

Pro tip: Layer Venial Blood under a thin top coat of Arterial Blood at wound edges - the darker base gives the wound depth while the brighter red at the surface reads as fresh injury. The contrast makes the whole effect more convincing on camera.

Safety and removal

Wash off skin with mild soap and lukewarm water. Launder clothing at 30°C immediately after use for best stain results. Test on a small piece of fabric before using on costumes you don't want to risk. Store the bottle tightly sealed in a cool, dry place.

For stubborn residue, Mouldlife Life Wipes (20-pack) or Sherman Pro-Clean Cleansing Oil 250 ml work well to lift any remaining traces.
