Diamond FX Neon Purple 30gr - wax-based face paint

The Diamond FX Neon Purple 30gr is a professional wax-based face paint with a vibrant purple colour that glows under UV/blacklight. Violet is semi-transparent under regular light and truly comes alive when it hits blacklight. With this 30g, you can paint 10 to 15 full faces.

Diamond FX Neon is hypoallergenic, gluten-free, free from animal-derived ingredients, parabens, fragrance and lanolin. The Neon range is skin-safety tested. Neon colours are special-effects pigments - use them for UV/blacklight effects and festivals, not for everyday cosmetic use. Browse all our Diamond FX Neon colours.

How to use Diamond FX face paint

Activate the face paint with a little clean water. Spray a fine mist onto the paint with a spray bottle, or dip a well-squeezed sponge or damp brush into the paint. Clean water keeps colours pure and vivid - use a water pot and refresh the water between colours.

Tips for a professional result

  • Use the right brushes. The FBFX Face Paint Brushes are designed specifically for face paint with soft synthetic bristles that don't leave fluff behind. For detail work and lines, use the FBFX Round Face Paint Brushes.
  • Use the right sponge. For large areas, use a Yellow Face Paint Sponge. Latex foam sponges are not suitable for face paint.
  • Keep your water clean. A water pot with clean water next to your workspace prevents colours from mixing or becoming dull.
  • Barrier layer for sensitive skin or intense colours. Apply a thin layer of Marley Skin beforehand. This barrier helps with removal and prevents staining from intense neon pigments.

How to remove Diamond FX face paint

Remove the face paint with mild, non-moisturising soap and cool to lukewarm water. Hot water opens the pores and allows pigment to sink deeper into the skin - avoid this. Gently rub in the soap and rinse thoroughly. Repeat until all the paint is gone.

For a cleaner, quicker removal without scrubbing:

  • Diamond FX Skin Soap - specially developed for removing Diamond FX face paint
  • Remover Towel - a moist wipe that takes off the face paint in one wipe, ideal at events and children's parties where you paint lots of faces in a row

What to use Diamond FX Neon Purple for

  • Festivals and raves - the purple glows intensely under UV/blacklight, ideal for festival body art and rave make-up
  • Halloween and themed parties - neon zombie, witch or vampire looks with a glowing UV effect
  • Children's face painting - vivid purple butterflies, fairies and fantasy looks at parties
  • Body painting and UV shows - for light shows and UV performances where colour really pops under blacklight
  • Events and party make-up - a real eye-catcher at themed events, escape rooms and night-time events with UV lighting

Frequently asked questions

Why are there sometimes small cracks in the face paint?

Large temperature differences during storage or transport can cause the wax to expand and contract, leading to surface cracks. They usually disappear on their own when you start using the product. There is no effect on quality or shelf life.

Is Diamond FX Neon safe for children?

Yes, Diamond FX Neon is hypoallergenic, fragrance-, paraben- and lanolin-free, gluten-free and contains no animal-derived ingredients. Neon is a special-effects pigment that is skin-safety tested, but not classified as FDA cosmetic - use it for UV/blacklight effects, not for everyday cosmetic use. Always do a patch test 24 hours in advance on sensitive skin.

How many faces can you paint with 30g?

A 30g pot gives you roughly 10 to 15 full faces, depending on layer thickness and technique.

What is the difference between Essential, Metallic and Neon?

Essential is matte base face paint. Metallic has a glossy shimmer finish. Neon colours glow under UV/blacklight - Neon Blue, Violet and White are semi-transparent under regular light and only come fully alive under UV/blacklight; the other Neon colours are opaque and vivid.

Can you apply Diamond FX over other colours?

Yes, that's one of its strengths. The wax base and high pigmentation mean the top colour covers without the underlying colour showing through. Product photos are taken under professional daylight lamps without colour editing. Colours may vary slightly depending on your screen settings.
