Superstar Face Paint Dark Green 241 is a deep green water-activated face paint from Dutch brand Superstar. Which looks and effects can you create with Dark Green 241?
Dark Green 241 is a deep, saturated shade well suited to creature and nature-inspired looks. Use it as a base for witch or goblin faces, build monster and dragon designs on top of it, or layer it into camouflage patterns. Around Halloween and at fancy dress events it works equally well for forest creatures, swamp monsters or a full-face Grinch.
Because the colour is dark and richly pigmented, it also works well for blending: mix edges with a lighter green or yellow for a more dimensional finish.

The glycerine base gives this paint a soft, creamy texture that stays workable long enough to blend properly. How to use it
Superstar is a water-activated face paint. Activate it with a damp brush or sponge:
With a brush
- Dampen the brush and press it gently into the paint.
- Build up thin layers for the best coverage.
- Use a round brush like the FBFX Round Face Paint Brushes Linda for fine details.
With a sponge
- Dampen the face paint sponge using a spray bottle so it does not get too wet.
- Press the sponge into the paint and apply to skin.
- Use a round face paint sponge or a Butterfly Sponge for an even base.
Pro tip: For a convincing witch or goblin look, start with Dark Green 241 as your base layer, then use a flat brush to work in darker shading around the eye sockets and nose with a brown or black. A small round brush picks out wrinkle lines and wart highlights in a lighter green or white for instant depth.
Setting and removing
Superstar face paint dries to a matte, smudge-resistant finish without a setting spray. For longer-lasting wear, especially outdoors, a light mist of fixative spray helps lock it in place.
To remove, use water and mild soap. For sensitive skin, the Wonder Towel with a little water works gently and thoroughly. Do not scrub and avoid baby wipes, as these can irritate the skin.
