Which face paint do you use for Halloween?

If you are painting children's faces at Halloween, water-based face paint is your best choice, just as we use it at school, at after-school clubs, at carnival or at a children's party. It goes onto the face easily and comes off just as easily.

For scary effects you move on to products such as fake blood, latex, wax, gelatine, silicone or ready-made prosthetics. Want maximum impact for minimum effort? Then have a look at coloured contact lenses, mouth stain or vampire fangs: easy to use and a big effect.

Do you want to go beyond face painting and really create a character? You can still use ordinary water-based face paint for that. But with cream make-up you create a look that lasts much longer once you set it properly with powder, and with alcohol-activated make-up you can even create water-resistant work. Handy if you are out being scary all evening and you want to be sure your look stays put.
